Getting started with Guile-Studio

Is there a guide anywhere, or otherwise documentation on how to get started with Guile?
I'm hoping to use https://elephly.net/guile-picture-language/manual.html#A-Picture-Vocabulary the Guile Picture Language as an excuse to try out hoot as recommended on this forum https://community.spritely.institute/t/vector-drawing-library-for-hoot/809.

I now have Guile-Studio installed via guix, as recommended by the library but I'm completely stuck on how to run a program after it's been typed in.

"M-x geiser" as suggested by the geiser docs does not seem to be found as a command, and none of the menu items seem to run the entire buffer to the terminal.

Sorry if this is a super basic question, or if I'm totally off base here. I'm much more used to DrRacket.
