hyperspec-naggum.el has already been patched in December 2001
(available from the CVS tree) to work with arbitrary _local_ versions
of the HyperSpec.
whoops, i missed that change.
Now that you've changed the online version I think
we only need to change the hard-coded symbol table to accommodate the
default case (i.e. user doesn't have Map_Sym.txt available locally and
wants to use the online version anyway).

I've attached the modified version to this mail (the whole file - a
patch would be almost twice as big). Works for me. Maybe we can test
and include this before 5.12 is out?
That version of hyperspec-naggum.el works for me 'out of the box'
(Linux/Emacs20.5.1) using the Xanalys website, and also with a local
copy of the Hyperspec.
It might be worth mentioning in the notes about using hyperspec.el
that people can get a local copy of the Hyperspec v6 by downloading
the file HyperSpec-6-0.tar.gz from the link at
http://www.xanalys.com/software_tools/reference/HyperSpec/
It's also available in the LispWorks Personal Edition documentation
but that's a much larger download.
