Patches of this kind are always welcome.  However, please understand
that the goal of ILISP is to be reasonably portable.  This includes
(for the time being) Emacs 20.7 on Linux.  Your patches will be
incorporated iff they do not break anything on other platforms or if
workarounds are provides in those cases.
