well, why don't you give it a spin?  as far as i know i added nothing 
that might remotely break GNU Emacs; and i'm absolutely sure i could fix 
any bugs that might come up.  [do you really consider XEmacs (and MS 
Windows) so unimportant?  it certainly sounds that way from your 
message.  i'd expect something more encouraging for new patch 
submitters, or you'll end up scaring them away.]
