problem with ilisp.

I'm using cmucl+ilisp. I changed
(setq cmulisp-program "/usr/local/lib/cmucl/bin/lisp")
into
(setq cmulisp-program "/usr/local/lib/cmucl/bin/lisp -core 
/path-to-that-new-core")
after I generated a new core file.
I restarted  xemacs,then M-x run-ilisp, but now press  M-. on a function 
name don't  work,ilisp told me
Can't find function  xx definition.

After changed
(setq cmulisp-program "/usr/local/lib/cmucl/bin/lisp -core 
/path-to-that-new-core")
back into
(setq cmulisp-program "/usr/local/lib/cmucl/bin/lisp")
M-. works fine.

Why did that happen?
I'm using ilisp-5.12.0.
