ILISP communicates with the inferior Lisp using pipes, rather than
pseudo terminals.  (I believe that this is to work around some
limitations of ptys on some systems.)  In recent ILISP, you can change
this, however, by setting the variable ilisp-*process-connection-type*
to t.
