I have been playing recently with my cmucl-18d setting under
ilisp-5.12.0+emacs-21.2 (gnu) and have realized the following
fact. ilisp does not work when one tries to change the default
prompt of cmucl.

The problem is exactly that if I set (setq *prompt* "> ") for instance,
then the *ilisp-send* buffer ceases to work. I may type and work in
the *cmulisp* buffer as previously; but any trial to M-C-x some
expresion from *ilisp-send* results in cmulisp going into the
debugger an emacs getting hung.
