Yes, I’m using a MOTU 828es for both the radio signal on the left, and IRIG B injected on the right. No custom driver because it is USB. However, I have no other experience with audio on Windows machines. All of my audio work in the studio happens on Mac computers. And I have never had any problems with Macs. Looking around for things that might cause blackouts, I see that I was running D4 in the background, to keep the computer clock sync’d to less than 1 sec against standard time signals. I decided to kill that, in case is periodic use (every 30 mins) might be grabbing the machine at too high a priority. So far, no more blackouts. But really too early to claim victory. The only other USB ports in use connect to the keyboard and mouse. Those aren’t being used at the moment since I’m watching everything on a remote Mac. So it is a really lightly loaded system. I also killed the remote monitoring WIFI connection, in case that might overload from time to time. I check in every so often to see if it made any difference. As discussed, missing samples are rather noticeable so you probably won’t miss it if the issue will express at this sample rate.
