Heh! Good one! No, I went to NYC to study Physics. Period. And I received a stellar education in Physics and Astronomy. I have had several lifetimes by now. Programming computers, for me, was always just a tool - a very sharpened pencil. And I made sure my pencil was the sharpest among my colleagues. I do get a bit of an endorphin rush when I write lambda closures. But they have to have a purpose. And that purpose is to control instrumentation or collect and reduce data. Physics is the science of measurement.
