Kludgy workaround: use a #\FUNKY-UNICODE-NOT-ANSI-SINGLE-QUOTE and a
#\FUNKY-UNICODE-NOT-ANSI-DOUBLE-QUOTE to define reader macros on.
I am sure such characters are there in UNICODE.
