Haven't put much there myself, yet. I am still intending to contribute to that 
branch, but have been sidetracked on another project since September.

Would hope that other contributors would commit any changes to that branch regardless
of it having been started due to list discussions involving me.

I will definitely make some time in the near future to add more stuff. One thing
I was intending to do was write an introductory section on strings and regex for 
the manual (there was an empty subsection dedicated to this in the "Getting Started: 
A Quick Tutorial" section last time I looked). I would like to get that done and
complete a full revision of the entire section.

Perhaps you have plans to cleanup or rearrange CVS somehow and this branch is
a bother?
