object serialization in lush?

Hi there,

I was wondering how difficult what the difficulties are in
adding a generic object serialization facility to lush
(something like "pickle" in Python or "save" in Matlab).
It looks like there is some infrastructure for this sort of
thing that's being used by "dump".

Any suggestions on how to get started on this?
