Hi,

I have started a new project to work on Lush/Java functionality. The Lushous project
(http://sf.net/projects/lushous) is going to deal with two main issues. The first is Java usage
from inside Lush. I guess this will be called JLush after Clush. The second will be an
implementation of Lush on Java, perhaps named LushJ.

Part of the goal with these two concerns will be seamless integration between the
standard Lush side (through JLush) and Lush on Java. I hope that at least the JLush
part can eventually be absorbed into Lush, once it has reached a sufficient level of
functionality.

One of the main focuses of the project will be on the use of the gcc-java implementation
in addition to Sun Java. gcc-java is very useful as it stands and will have more up-to-date
functionality (Java 1.5-1.6?) in future once Sun makes Java open source (parts of which
are slated to be opened up soon).

I hope this is of interest to others using Lush and hopefully the use of Java will
help spread the use of Lush. Please let me know what you think about this.

Cheers.

Raymond
