I'm not sure if it's used anywhere. It's not used in any package. I
frankly don't remember why we wrote these unix file descriptor
functions (though I'm sure there was a good reason at the time).

In any case, they probably don't need to be in lsh/libc.  If we want
to keep them, they could be put in a unix-specific package or
something.
