Naive installation problems

Greetings,

I have been trying to compile matlisp (on a SuSE 7.1 system) for
integration with CMUCL.

Having set the cmu-lisp varialble in the makefile, and issued `make
cmu', the installation runs into a problem, which as a comparative
lisp novice, leaves me stumped.

I'd appreciate a prod in the right direction.
