You're not missing anything.  I'm the one that's missing something!

I now see you're using the Debian version of cmucl.  I don't use that.

You can answer 0 here and unintern the conflicting symbols instead of
doing it manually.

I think matlisp can try to do something more intelligent here.  I'll
have to think about it.

However, I also tend to use (in-package :matlisp-user) instead of
use-package.  Can you try that instead?
