excellent! that sounds like the solution. Thanks! silly question: how does one load an .s file? After this has been tested it may warrant creating a new version of the RMCL download zip file. After all, without the patch RMCL is a floating point ticking time bomb for Snow Leopard. Do we need a scheme, e.g., version number for RMCL to differentiate these versions? thanks, Alex On Oct 18, 2009, at 9:50 AM, Doug Currie wrote: > > On Oct 18, 2009, at 12:15 AM, Alexander Repenning wrote: > >> I can certainly remember some cases in which (choose-directory- >> dialog) >> and similar functions would result in some sluggish and sometimes, >> but >> rarely, crashing type of situation but the floating point issue >> appears to be completely 10.6 specific and could likely be the result >> of the new implementation of Rosetta. > > This was my experience as well. > > Have you tried Gary's SL patch to preserve f30 around ff-call? > > http://code.google.com/p/mcl/source/detail?r=24ad4c78d72d56bbf70f8a7fefa4ff89872df311 > > e > > -- > Doug Currie, CTO > Parallel Simulation Technology LLC > 5 Dartmouth Drive > Auburn, NH 03032 USA > Tel. 603-644-4500 main > Tel. 603-622-3749 x41 direct > > > > _______________________________________________ > info-mcl mailing list > [email protected] > http://clozure.com/mailman/listinfo/info-mcl Prof. Alexander Repenning University of Colorado Computer Science Department Boulder, CO 80309-430 vCard: http://www.cs.colorado.edu/~ralex/AlexanderRepenning.vcf _______________________________________________ info-mcl mailing list [email protected] http://clozure.com/mailman/listinfo/info-mcl
