RMCL revision code

I have added an experimental *mcl-revision* that holds the revision  
code matching the one in the repository, providing a unique id for  
each build:

Note that the patch has to be loaded when building the application  
image from PPCCL to take effect. Unless there are objections, I'd  
like to integrate this code into the sources.
