Oops, sorry for wrong subject line in previous message. Here is a version that will better fit in threaded mail readers and archives. Dear [email protected] readers, I don't know if this is the right place to discuss such things, but I'm looking into integrating some LDAP authentication into ASERVE. Not that I think the web server integration is the hard task, which instead seems to be getting a working LDAP client in Lisp. * is this the right channel to discuss this? * what is the Right(tm) approach to authenticating ASERVE users with LDAP? * should I be growing CL-LDAP (a embryonic UFFI wrapper over OpenLDAP), developping a new Lisp-LDAP a la Perl-LDAP, or using some other trick to interface some other library? * Is there already some user registration and authentification library that would make LDAP mostly irrelevant? * If these things matters, let's assume ACL6.2 in ANSI mode under Windows or Linux here, though other platforms can be considered and a (semi)portable solution is even better. * If you know a better channel to discuss these things, please suggest it. * If you think this message is inappropriate, please tell me, too. Sorry for the inconvenience.
