Hi all, I am in the process of trying to get Allegro NFSd to work to replace Microsoft's Services for Unix, which runs okay on Win2000, but I can't get it to work with XP. My problem is that the device that is mounting the NFS drive is a VxWorks-based system, and it seems to be very picky about working-basically, I am admitting that Allegro may work fine and VxWorks may not, but I am looking for suggestions regardless. The problem is that when VxWorks starts up it does something along the lines of a showmount -e on the PC running NFS, but it doesn't seem to be getting any info back. When I run the command on a linux box I do see a different behavior between Allegro and SFU, and I am wondering if there is anyway that I can make Allegro conform without getting into the source code? When I run showmount -e PCwithSFU I get: /CLIPR (everyone) <---- Services for UNIX result When I run showmount -e PCwithAllegro I get: /CLIPR * <---- Allegro NFSd result I am guessing this difference is causing the problem...any ideas? Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide...other than this, Allegro seems much easier to use than SFU. Keith Barr Software Discipline Manager Coherent Technologies, Inc.
