Some fairly recent kernel changes caused loading ppc-boot[.image] to
hang a high percentage of the time.

I think that this is now unscrambled.

Nothing has changed on the lisp side of things for the last week or so
(except for a couple of compiler things having to do with accessing
arrays of element-type (SIGNED-BYTE 64).)

Doing a "cvs update", rebuilding the kernel, and recompiling with 
060125 images should get things working again.
