A sad day: The Symbolics's going out the door

We actually haven't used our Symbolics's in some years.  Someone else 
now needs the raised-floor room where all this was being stored.  A 
bunch of equipment is being moved out on Friday morning (in a few hours 
from now).  If other arrangements aren't made, it will show up on SRI's 
surplus list to be sold or scrapped.

Amongst the equipment (we may decide not to surplus the first two items 
yet.  We may donate them somewhere.)
Thinking Machines CM-2  (8k processors)
SGI Onyx Reality Engine
Xerox Print Server & Printer (for Xerox Dandelion (and Star?))
Symbolics equipment
    3x 3600 (w/ IFU, PEV)  S/N 168, 481, 508
    2x  3645
    8x  B&W Monitors (PEV)  [There's another that isn't in this stack, 
but could be]
    2x Color Monitors
    MacIvory (an early model)
     Tape drive
     *bunches* of boards, etc.
2 early Cisco AGS's  (one was used by the NIC and so is probably quite 
early)

Lots of media and docs
   Symbolics from the earliest days  (Possibly every release they ever 
did.  Probably ever documentation they ever did.)
   Some Xerox Dandelion stuff  (Carol release, D..... release, maybe more)
   Possibly some early Sun stuff (but I didn't even look)
   Lucid CL media (cart tapes)
   Allegro CL media (cart tapes and one 4mm? tape)
   Quintus Prolog media (cart tapes)
   1984 ATT Unix  9-track tapes

Previously, I asked the Computer History Museum (down the road from us) 
if they'd like any of the Symbolics equipment, but they said they had 
enough and didn't have much space.

I'm going to try to go through some of it tonight.  The main issue is 
storage, cost of shipping, and my energy for doing this.  I hate to see 
it destroyed but I don't have time to do too much.  [Amongst the things 
I didn't expect was a shrink-wrapped PDP11 Teco manual!]

A couple of months back, I said I'd send someone some small pieces of 
equipment but I've lost that mail. Sorry! Send me mail privately if it 
was you.

Please reply privately.   Once it goes on the surplus list, you'll have 
to bid on it (and probably the won't list the small stuff).  I won't be 
taking any money for myself, but if I do send you something, you'll 
definitely have to pay shipping.

[I don't have a digital camera, but if there is anything someone wants 
me to get pictures of, I can try.]
