Genera NFS Client Problems

I'm trying to integrate a LispM with Genera 8.3 into a network that
includes a Solaris 9 machine as well as various machines running
relatively recent versions of Linux.  In general, the old client seems
to have problems working with the various NFS servers out there.  If you
have used the LispM NFS client with a Solaris 8 or 9 based NFS server or
perhaps a Redhat 7.2 based server or a SuSE 7.3 based server I'd really
like to compare notes.  If this is a hopeless task and I should give up,
let me know too!
