It was a build/compilation error. I think the error message came from
./gmp/install-gmp:

if [ ! -f $src ]; then
  echo "*** ERROR:configure:--gmpsrc. Cannot find gmp \"$src\" library."
  echo "Aborting";
  exit 1;
fi


I must admit, I am not quite sure anymore. I just installed the latest
version gmp-6.1.2. I don't think it has anything to do with the gmp-version.

I don't think any action is needed. I just mentioned it, should other
people experience the same.
