breadline regression?

I posted this to #chicken on IRC as well, but I seem to also have issues 
using the default .csirc script for breadline.

which is a paste of the issue I get when trying to use breadline:1.0.0 
with the default csirc script.

The script itself was taken from 
<https://depp.brause.cc/breadline/examples/.csirc>. This only seems to 
fail with the v1.0 of breadline.
