You can, by using the chicken.repl module and then compiline your program
as normal. You can also use nrepl [1] if you want a REPL over a plain TCP
socket for example, leaving your stdout available for other uses.

I'm the author of nrepl (which I think I'll rename to tcprepl for C6),
please let me know if the documentation is unclear.
