Hi, I am on debian bookworm (testing), but am using gauche from sid (with apt pinning), as it has not migrated to testing - for ages now, as it appears to me (it was removed in March 2022 - cf. below). If find this a little annoying (this is the only package that forces me to use apt pinning), and more importantly: I am a bit worried, if gauche is left behind in debian (will be ready, when it comes to another stable release of debian some time in the future): cf. https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=gauche https://packages.debian.org/sid/gauche and in particular https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/gauche gives some explanations: [2022-03-19] gauche REMOVED from testing (Debian testing watch) testing migrations ∙ ∙ Updating gauche would introduce bugs in testing: #1023035 etc but apparently: it is in debian sid - thus I conclude: it was/is possible to resolve these issues (if any really). I have contacted the debian developer in charge: NIIBE Yutaka <[email protected]> some time ago - but haven't received a response (I haven't submitted a formal bug report - it seems clear to me that, something should happen about this situation). Has anyone on this list maybe a clue about (an eye on) the situation? Thanks, A. _______________________________________________ Gauche-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gauche-devel
