The reason is to replace the Sourceforge forums that have a substantial number of requests for help, most of which we don't discover till several months have passed. At least we'll get the emails in a timely manner. It isn't necessary for you to subscribe as you don't support any Schematics software (AFAIK). On the other hand there are a number of SchemeUnit users out there (at least 3! ;-) and given the recent problems with the upgrade to v205 it makes sense to have a place where they can get help (modulo my email account bouncing messages ;-) It is also useful to have a place where we talk to users. E.g. I'm vaguely thinking about SchemeUnit changes that would break the current API; it would be good to discuss these with users before making the change. c.l.s or plt-scheme aren't good places to discuss these things and we don't want everyone and their dog subscribed to schematics-development.
