You're right, it's not running a Scheme wiki, although all the Scheme
source code formatting is now being done by a PLT servlet.  The reason
we're not using a Scheme wiki is simply that we didn't have something
already available that could do everything we needed.  Waiting to develop
something wouldn't be the quickest way to get a cookbook going.

I think we can migrate towards greater use of Scheme.  I've hinted in this
direction on the AdminCookbookViews page.  In thinking about how that
should work, I noticed that something pretty similar to WebIt's markup
could work well for defining our index layout, and I've just added a
comment to that page giving an example of what I'm thinking of.

In the longer term, we have a bunch of tools that we could exploit and use
to make a more Scheme-based site, including Moshi, WebIt!, SSAX, HTMLPrag,
SchemeRSS.  The current Scheme-based source code formatting was partially
intended as a proof-of-concept of integrating Scheme usage with the TWiki
server.  That's worked well, and the approach can be extended to do other
things with Scheme.  If we reach a point where we have entire pages served
by Scheme, it would be easy enough to integrate things so that some pages
are served directly by Scheme, and others by the TWiki server.  We could
use the InterWiki mechanism to allow wikilinks between the two.

That's fine with me.  I don't want my previous comments to be
misinterpreted as thinking I don't want to hear from anyone who isn't
offering action.  The more opinions we hear, the better we can make the
cookbook.  My earlier reactions were to some comments which didn't seem
constructive to me.
