Thanks. Looking at the pair.com web page, they charge $149/mo for low-end
dedicated hosting, with a 60GB data transfer allowance. That's pretty
standard for commercial-grade hosting plans, but I'm looking for something a
little cheaper, with more bandwidth. I suppose you'd call it
hobbyist-grade, which usually means you have to make some compromises.

For example, one of the plans I'm looking at is at Valueweb.com, which
offers a dedicated Linux server with 1000GB of data transfer for $59/mo.
The main problem with that is that the servers in question have single IDE
drives, which means a good disaster recovery plan is essential. I've also
seen some complaints about Valueweb's customer service.

My current provider has actually been pretty good - this is the first
problem I've had since initial setup of this particular server in February -
but they're small, with limited support capabilities. I wouldn't actually
recommend them. I'm using them for "historical reasons".

I need a server for my own purposes anyway, so there's no problem on my side
about hosting the Scheme Wiki.
