Maybe SWIG has #ifdef-like functionality? Anyway, I don't think it is worth supporting MySQL 3.x now that 4.0 is out and (seems to be) in wide-spread use, so no objections from me if you remove those definitions. Can anyone comment on usage of MySQL 3 vs 4? I'd be interested to know which is more popular.
