Excellent!

Well, its a difficult to say right now. Ryan and I
recently received motivation to produce a new version so a
redesign is implicitly in the works. I say implicitly as I
have Other Things I need to get done now, but perhaps Ryan
has the time at the moment.

Perhaps it is best to start porting 2.0 rather than wait
for the next version. For cross-platform dev I think we
want:

  - directories for each platform, and for cross-platform
(R5RS + SRFIs) code.

  - some kind of build system (maybe just a Make file) to
build SchemeUnit for each platform

So perhaps you could look at how we can set this up and
starting teasing the cross-platform code out of the current
impl. It's important we support the features of each
platform, so I suspect very little code will be actually
cross-platform (eg, a lot of the macros contain PLT
specific location tracking code).

Cheers,
Noel
