Thank you for the pointer!  However -- according to the documentation,
I haven't tried to run it myself -- scmxlate requires scmxlate itself
to be installed on the end user's system, for the end user to run
scmxlate to configure the library for their system, and for the end
user to answer configuration questions, none of which I want.
