New design

Thanks to everyone who suggested improvement to the
CSS!  I'll upload Anton's modifications as soon as I
get a chance.  I had to add a dummy paragraph at the
end of the tsxt to get IE 5 to render it properly.  I
hope it doesn't throw the other browsers out too much.
 *sigh*

If I get the time (and software - using a borrowed
laptop on holiday (again!)) I'll add a graphic header.
 I have some pictures of lemons that would make a nice
zesty backdrop for the schematics logo.  I'd need to
change the colour scheme to match but that isn't a
problem.  If anyone else wants to do a design (or a
logo or anything else) that would be great.  I thinks
its fun and a bit more human to have an off-kilter
design.  Too many free software projects have boring
somber navy blue designs (I'm thinking in particular
of Jakarta projects here!)  So many ideas, such little
time!

It's kinda interesting to read the CSS design gurus
(e.g. http://www.alistapart.com/
http://csszengarden.com/)  They really aren't too
different from the Scheme community, carving out their
territory in a largely uncaring world.  CSSZenGarden
has this meaty quote:

  "To date, most examples of neat tricks and hacks
have been
  demonstrated by structurists and coders. Designers
have yet to make
  their mark. This needs to change.

  Participation
  Graphic artists only please."

Guess we don't get to play ;-)  I wonder what a
structurist is?  The same site says: "CSS allows
complete and total control over the style of a
hypertext document", which is true if "complete and
total" means "consists solely of rectangular areas". 
I predict CSS evolving into a really badly designed,
badly implemented programming language.  Its
inevitable.
