Hi. Thanks for the follow up. In the delay, though, I gave picoLisp a try and it has been meeting my needs beautifully, including an (almost) painless cross-compile to mips32r2. So I don't want to expend more energy on figuring out how to compile scheme48. But if anybody wants to pursue it on their own, I'd be glad to send them the toolkit.
