Maybe I should clarify that I made the FreeBSD port, not the Debian
package. FreeBSD ports can build as a normal user, then ask for the root
password to do the installation. However, there's no problem with doing
nothing in the compilation phase, so it's not a big deal to
me. (Especially since ports also control the checksum of the source,
before doing anything.)

With Debian it's another story, or so I gathered on #scsh, but that will
have to be explained by someone else.
