SSAX under scheme48

Hi,

I would like to use the .../SSAX/lib  and run the .../SSAX/examples  
under scheme48!
How should I apply make on the corresponding Makefiles? There are 
targets for bigloo and other schemes, but not for scheme48.
What is the fastest way to get ssax:xml->sxml  running?
I spent several hours in vain to get it running under bigloo2.6. Now I 
have learnd from this mailing list that it is bigloo2.6's fault, as Oleg 
wrote (2005-01-10):

Hopefully Scheme48 won't be that problematic.
