 Under Haiku, the global git settings seem to have core.symlinks=true.
Explicitely setting this option does not change anything while setting it
to false writes global git config. Anyway, with core.symlinks=true
(implicitely or explicitely), the package build fails exactly in the same
manner. When it is set to false, the package hierarchy cannot be even
initialized.
