UFFI is generally ported to Lisp implementations, and most Lisp
implementations strive to be uniform across all platforms they are
ported to.  I have used UFFI on LispWorks/Linux and Windows,
Allegro/Linux, Windows, and OS X, CMUCL, SBCL, and OpenMCL/OS X.  The
most pressing issue is that the names of certain libraries may vary from
platform to platform, but UFFI:FIND-FOREIGN-LIBRARY goes a long way
towards addressing that.

I haven't tried it, but I would be surprised if UFFI did not work on
FreeBSD and Solaris with CMUCL and Allegro, for example.
