Hi, I'm following this list because I am the project coordinator for Maxima, a computer algebra system written in Lisp. <http://maxima.sf.net/>. I am hoping that future versions of Maxima will be able to take advantage of numerical routines written in other languages. UFFI seems to be the project we need. Future releases of Maxima will be fully supported on at least CMUCL, clisp and GCL. clisp has already come up on this list. Has anyone thought about GCL? I am not in a position to work on GCL support myself at this point, but I could try to find someone who is. --Jim Amundson
