MyODBC drivers binaries and sources are available under GPL.

AFAIR Jochen has only provided USQL with a "shallow" binding to SQL-ODBC.
As I deciphered and augmented SQL-ODBC code to fit my needs too, I am in
hope to provide "deeper" binding.

ODBC portabily should not be much trouble due to its abstraction layer.
