Hi all, We just made a basic change on how The Mail Archive works. This is a behind the scenes plumbing change specifically aimed at improving internationalization support. All new pages will be rendered in UTF-8 (UNICODE) instead of the character set used in the email message. This is both the wave of the future and the sanest way to deal with multiple languages at the same time, such as on index pages. If all goes well, people should not notice a difference. Maybe there will be some minor improvement for some languages, i.e browsers will use the right font more often. There may be a decline in search quality for some non-English languages - better search technology for various languages remains on the TODO list. If you notice any problems please speak up. Portuguese, Ukrainian and Polish list admins are particularly encouraged to inspect new messages and make everything looks ok.
