latency spikes

Archiving latency is going to grow from a few minutes (at the moment)
to about 9 hours. Then it will shrink again. This is due to us doing a
system wide, full backup.

This is simply an important thing to do, and is going to happen on a
somewhat regular basis.  We went through a lot of grief last month
doing partition repair and hopefully learned from the experience.
These full backups are on top the existing data safety measures
(i.e. keeping redundant message data and making heavy use of RAID
storage).

Archived messages will be fully accessable and inbound mail will be
queued during the system backup period.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
