RE: using blat.exe i am not able to recive emails after the server reboot

I recently upgraded a LINUX web and mail server for a client domain.  Blat stopped working!
Blat could no longer relay through the server, although the server could use horde to email the
same addresses that had relaying denied for blat !  Blat could also send mail to local
addresses.

 

I had to change blat install to use the ISP email server and an ISP login before blat would
work.  A similar problem arose for some Outlook clients.  Relaying denied was the typical error,
although some issues with IMAP and security arose.

Hey Lhemasharma,

Well, the way mail works is the sending agent (blat) connects to the
SMTP server and gives it the message (the Blat log shows your SMTP
server reporting that this worked just fine by saying "250 Message
accepted for delivery"). At this point Blat has succeeded with it's
job and is done.

Next your SMTP server then passes the message along, either to another
SMTP server or a post office type server depending on the path the
message needs to take.

Once on the post office server, your mail client picks it up.

So, somewhere between the SMTP server that Blat gave the message to
and your mail client is where the problem is. I would suggest checking
that SMTP server's logs to see what it did with the message.
