Thanks for reply. Yes we can move to V3 and have done on a test basis and we simply change the call to SENDA. We then put it to one side for sme reason and never deployed it. I had a feeling that V3 had better capability for batching of e-mails but not so sure what I mean by that.
It seems we do call SEND or SENDA (V3 only) and pass all the usual parameters as a big string. I think our software waits until we get a response back from the DLL to say the e-mail has been sent (sorry I am not the developer) and that is when there can be a big delay with hosted exchange servers.
The bottom line is we should move to V3 as soon as practical but any further comments would be great.
