Could you not create a script to copy from SENT box to OUTBOX folder on server? You could restrict access to OUTBOX so no one could resend/delete anything. You would have the original SENT email without any additional addresses/etc.
You would also have to create a Delete process after a given amount of time (6 months, 24 months, ???) or risk filling up the server space
Best Regards

Subject: [blat] Leaving sent email copy in outbox.
Hi,
recently i'm trying to create semi-remote mailing system (details are rather irrelevant, but i can provide such if needed), where multiple senders use same email address. Nevertheless their supervizor would like to have some insight on sent emails.
However, to make it legal equivalent of paper-copy it has to be stored in 'outbox' on the server, as it cannot be re-send to any other email as 'backup' or 'confirmation' or whatever.
Now, the question is: can blat leave a copy of sent email on the server? If not via smtp, then imap4 perhaps?
If so, can someone hint me what should i look for?
Cheers
