I do not see anything that stands out to me, but I receive a different response from the Microsoft server. In my case, Microsoft accepted my login credentials, but would not send my message without me first accessing the POP3 account. The specific message from the server is:
550 5.3.4 Requested action not taken; To continue sending messages, please sign in to your account.
This is my stunnel configuration, listing only the live.com / hotmail account information. Other accounts have been removed for brevity:
