This mainly fixes #6, static analyser warnings (there were some actual=20
bugs), and in some places, we cannot fully fix things easily without=20
switching to C++ or writing excessive amounts of code in order to fix=20
a "memory still reachable" style of leaks, and was a big change.

It also cleaned up include-what-you-use warnings, uncovering some=20
portability issues.
