Thanks John!

I don't know if this is on topic for this list, but since then I've
found this link
https://www.claws-mail.org/faq/index.php/Using_Claws_Mail_with_other_programs#How_can_I_use_Claws_Mail_with_bogofilter.3F

It says that installing bogofilter in Claws (which uses bogofilter.so
the Claws front-end to bogofilter) should be all you need.

But for other cases (bogofilter installed but not set in Claws?), you
can call it with a filter rule and actions.

I do have bogofilter.so installed (and obviously bogofilter itself), so
I shouldn't need a filter action. But I have added it to see if
that makes a difference.

As I said, it's more than possible that bogofilter always was working,
just silently deleting spam instead of moving it to Trash as I told it
to. So I'll close Claws and use a mail client on my mobile that
doesn't do any filtering. When I see a spam there I'll leave it unread
and fire up Claws to see if it shows up or gets disappeared.
