if you are using the demo one please get the latest ! Dont be stuck on 5.4

Second, out of the box config will eneable you to receive for your domain 
and to user within to send the mail out.

Relaying from any IP to outside means you will become an open relay that is 
really BAD:

I do not think you are willing it.
